• graduation from grammar school after having completed 6 months of foreign exchange to Riverton, Wyoming, U.S.A., and France
• community service in a school for mentally disabled people, voluntary work as an English teacher in Southern Thailand
• university studies in German, French Law and Anglo-American/Common Law at university law schools of Trier, Nancy (France), Leipzig and Freiburg, German State exam (equivalent of a LL.M., university certificates in French and Anglo-American Law
• internships with lawyers in Berlin and Freiburg, at the German Embassy to France and in the office of Member of the French Parliament, Paris
• assistant lecturer in criminal law, University of Freiburg, general studies, work as a freelance journalist for a Freiburg regional journal
• vocational training in mediation
• assistant lecturer at Freiburg University in mediation
• preparation service at the County Court of Offenburg and the Higher Regional Court of Berlin, internships in Offenburg, Berlin, Freiburg und Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia, exchange in Paris
